I enjoyed your blog. I will have to try the garlic soup recipe….sounds delicious.
I thought the entry about making the most of your tip cup was great….and having been a waitress for many years I could relate to the importance of “workin’ it”. I would add that a “thank you” of some sort when a customer puts a significant tip in your cup would also be a good way to reinforce the behaviour. I always put a very good tip in a barista’s cup (because of my under appreciated waitressing days) and I often wish that they would acknowledge it. The whole tipping situation always makes me think of the Seinfeld episode with George and the tip jar………….
